This happened yesterday. I've been dating my girlfriend for about 3 weeks. We meet up and figure we'll grab food first, so I ask what she wants. "Anything's fine." Pasta? "Meh." Burgers? "Meh." Pizza? "Meh." Steak? "Meh." So I say, "Okay, you pick." And suddenly I'm getting lectured — "How can a guy not even decide this? You don't know how to lead at all." Trying to keep the peace, I go: "How about we grab a quick ice cream first, then get real food once we're hungry?" She's on board. We walk in, sit down. I ask what she wants — "Anything." So I ask the staff for their two signature flavors and order them. The ice cream arrives. I lift the first spoonful to my mouth, and she goes: "Oh… actually, I really wanted a hot dog." What am I supposed to do with that?? I wanted to kick something. Somebody please explain how this works. I'm begging.
